Event Details

Event Start Date
26 Feb 2026
Event End Date
26 Feb 2026

At Digital Law and Policy Trends 2026, co-organised by #SMUCDL and Magellan Law LLP, we convened leading voices from law, policy, industry, and investment to examine the forces shaping the digital economy in the year ahead.

Against a backdrop of rapid technological change, the seminar provided in-depth analysis of the regulatory and strategic developments likely to define 2026 — from Artificial Intelligence governance and online platform regulation to data flows and digital infrastructure resilience. Designed for in-house counsel, business leaders, and policy professionals, the programme fostered rigorous discussion on risk management, investment trajectories, and emerging compliance priorities.

Participants engaged in substantive conversations across four thematic sessions:
• Digital Industry Trends and Investment
• Trends in Artificial Intelligence: Policy and Law
• Regulation of Online Platforms
• Data and Digital Infrastructure

We are grateful to our distinguished moderators and panellists for their valuable perspectives and contributions to the discussion: Alex Toh, Han-Wei Liu, Dawn Tan, Stanley Tan, Ewan Lusty, Huijuan Peng, Amit Poonath, David Cai, Josh Lee, Heng Wang, Ian Lim, and Ida Chao Kho.

The dialogue reflects SMUCDL’s commitment to fostering cross-sector dialogue on the legal and policy developments shaping digital markets, governance frameworks, and institutional strategy in 2026 and beyond.
