The Discovery Research Fund supports the SMU Centre for Digital Law’s exploration of digital futures centred on human wellbeing, with a distinctive Asian perspective on global challenges. Your donation helps extend our ongoing research (alongside government and industry support) and enables bold, exploratory initiatives that respond to emerging digital issues. The Fund supports activities such as:

  • Hosting visiting researchers and research interns, from emerging to leading scholars
  • Supporting SMU PhDs and post-docs in fieldwork and international conferences
  • Building collaborative capacity with partners in ASEAN
  • Bringing research into the public square through education and outreach
  • Seeding curiosity-driven research at the frontiers of digital law
