Professional Appointments

Henry is a Chartered Engineer and Founding Partner of CalSci LLP, a UK based ‘deep-tech’ technical diligence consultancy that provides analysis of deep-tech technologies and companies for the venture capital investment space.

Research Areas

Henry has developed a global perspective on cutting edge technologies from his engagements that have included clients in both Asia and Europe, ultimately providing knowledge and insight to enable them to gain greater confidence in their investments and technology spaces.

As a professional with twenty years of enterprise experience, he can break down technologies from first principles and he also understands the critical importance of bridging the gaps between differently driven entities such as end consumers, executives and engineers. He has personal interest in novel technologies and their uses whilst being a strong proponent of the responsible and cautious usage, and well thought-out governance of highly disruptive application spaces, with a long-term view on their development, deployment and interaction in modern global societies.

Henry strives to share his industrial specialisation and expertise in automotive engineering, fuel and energy, and enterprise PLM software application development; and a growing view on technology investment in established and emerging deep-tech verticals, including: energy, semi-conductors, artificial intelligence, food, medical and communication technologies.
